Old School Burnouts

This was the only thing we did in the middle school weight room. We had little time and wanted to cause as much teenage testosterone fueled bonding and pain as inhumanly possible.

It was a pyramid up and down with no rest.


Example (straight sets with no rest between sets)

Hammer Strength Incline Chest Press

Set 1       10 lbs for 30 reps

Set 2       20 lbs for 20 reps

Set 3       30 lbs for 15 reps

Set 4       40 lbs for 10 reps

Set 5       50 lbs for 5 reps

Set 6       40 lbs for 5 reps

Set 7       30 lbs for 5 reps

Set 8       20 lbs for 5 reps

Set 9       10 lbs for 11 reps
