IGF-1 - insulin-like growth factor-1 Stack for more muscle and faster recovery

Betaine also called trimethylglycine is an amino acid derived from beets. It increases growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels. Take l,500-3,000mg with pre- and post-workout meals.

Bovine colostrum- is the second ingredient in this stack that increases levels of IGF-1. Replace 5-10g of protein in your pre- and post-workout shakes with 5-10g of bovine colostrum.

Deer Antler Velvet - has some rodent studies along with human anedotal evidence that it can be ingested to increase IGF-1. Take as directed.

DHEA is an adrenal hormone that has been shown to increase levels of IGF-1. Take 25-100mg once or twice daily.

Humanofort derived from chicken embryos stimulates the adrenal glands to increase DHEA and IGF-1 production. Take 30-100mg in the morning, before workouts, and before bedtime.

Rhodiola rosea is an adaptogen that supports the body's resistance to a variety of stresses. It also may help prevent a drop in hormones such as testosterone, HGH, IGF-1, dopamine, and thyroid hormone. It may also blunt levels of the catabolic hormone Cortisol. Take 100-l.000mg of an extract standardized for rosavins and salidrosides without food.

Ursolic Acid is a polyphenol found in the skin of apples. It may increase muscle growth and strength by increasing production of IGF-1 and inhibiting the amount of testosterone that gets converted to estrogen. Try 250-l,500mg 30-60 minutes before workouts.

ZMA is a combination of zinc and magnesium aspartate and vitamin B6. ZMA has been shown in research to increase testosterone and IGF-1. Take ZMA (30mg of zinc, 450mg of magnesium, and 10.5mg of B6) on an empty stomach 30-60 minutes before bedtime. Women may take less as directed on the label.
